Special Education Teacher

ProCare Therapy is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in Varnville, SC. As a contracted Special Education Teacher, you will have the opportunity to make a profound impact on the lives of students with special needs. Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Provide direct instruction and support to students in various academic subjects.
• Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and support staff to ensure the holistic development of each student.
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and behavior.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Valid teaching license/certification in Special Education .
• Previous experience working with students with special needs, preferably in a school setting.
• Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
