Job Description: We are seeking a qualified and dedicated School Psychologist to join our team for the 2023-24 school year near Huntingtown, MD, with the opportunity for renewal for the 24/25 school year. This full-time position involves working across two schools and all grade levels to support students' academic, social, and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct prehensive psychological assessments and evaluations for students to identify needs and create support plans.
- Develop and implement evidence-based interventions to address students' academic, social, and emotional challenges.
- Provide counseling and support to students, helping them navigate behavioral and emotional issues.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff to create and monitor individualized plans for students.
- Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students.
- Offer expertise and consultation on matters related to mental health, behavior, and learning.
- Collect and analyze data to monitor students' progress and the effectiveness of interventions.
- Stay current with best practices in school psychology and continuing education.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Must hold Maryland Licensure/Certification as a School Psychologist.
- Out-of-state candidates and new graduates are wele to apply.
- Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
- Strong understanding of assessment and intervention techniques for students with diverse needs.
- Excellent munication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and a strong mitment to supporting students' success.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
