Minimum 1+ years pharmacy experience required.
Join our team at a Long-Term Care Pharmacy specializing in post-acute care, serving 40 nursing homes across West Virginia. We primarily focus on blister packing, IV administration, and handling controlled substances.
Terms:
- Position: Pharmacist (Part-Time, Ongoing)
- Schedule: 1 per week (flexible on the ) with additional coverage for PTO, sick s, and call outs as needed.
- Pharmacy Hours: 24/7
- Night Shift: 8:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Job Duties:
- Verify prescriptions and products accurately
- Conduct verification of automation, including checking packs
- Perform visual verification during night cycles
- Physically enter prescriptions into the system
- Verify IV sterile compounds prepared by pharmacy technicians (compounding not required)
- Address emergency prescription requests, verify prescriptions, and fulfill orders promptly
Requirements:
- Active, clear West Virginia State Pharmacist license with no negative history
- Preferred previous experience in Long Term Care pharmacy settings
- Commitment to ongoing PRN assignment
