Description: Warehouse Worker/Backup Driver

We are looking for a Warehouse worker that will be picking orders, has strong attention to detail, using paper slips, receiving. Products are general plumbing supplies, toilets, bath tubs, pipes, faucets, etc. Products will be heavy, looking for candidates that can lift heavy up to 50-75lbs. This position will also be working as a backup driver, will be working in the warehouse but at time will need to be a driver for a box truck. Must have a valid Drivers license and clean driving record

 

Shift: 7:30am - 4:30pm Monday-Friday

Starting Pay: $21.00 - $22.00 Hourly (Full Time Driver is potential W/Higher Pay based on experience)

Location: South Seattle, WA

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: Warehouse

  • Receive and track shipments
  • Order picking using paper slips/RF Scanner(s)
  • Embark merchandise in delivery trucks using appropriate tools
  • Accommodate and carefully handle fragile merchandise
  • Track and document exact shipment arrival and departure times
  • Label and stockpile merchandise according to size, shape, and type.
  • Box, wrap and pack the merchandise in accordance with relevant procedures and standards by hand
  • Prepare all orders for shipment
  • Record and manage all impaired or damaged merchandise items

Backup Driver Duties:

  • Safely driving a variety of trucks, mainly 26’ box trucks, to make deliveries to customers and pick up material at vendors. Following all state and federal traffic & highway laws, to include but not limited to: safety, speed, weight limits, etc.
  • Double checking the material for each order once they arrive at the customers’ dock to verify that it is the correct material, correct quantity & is in good condition.
  • Unloading the material at the customer site-sometimes bringing the material to the back of the truck so that the customer may unload using their forklifts- and sometimes hand unloading and carrying into the customer location.
  • Marking packing slips with any changes, get a customer signature for the material and give a copy of the packing slip to customer.
  • At various times, the Warehouse Associate may be asked to pick up return material from customer locations- they are to verify material, quantity and state of material and mark paperwork accordingly.
  • Collecting payment for any COD orders and may be asked to pick up checks from customers- all payments collected are to be turned into the Kyana accounting department each day.

Warehouse Environment: Warehouse is a supplier for plumbing supplied, toilets, sinks, bath tubs, faucets, etc.
