Minimum 1+ years physical therapy experience required.

Soliant is actively seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join a dynamic team at a school district near Heber City, UT. The successful candidate will work with a diverse K-12 caseload, and will be responsible for conducting initial assessments for special needs students, providing both direct and indirect support to students.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial assessments to evaluate the physical therapy needs of special needs students.
  • Develop and implement individualized physical therapy plans based on assessment findings and students' specific requirements.
  • Provide direct physical therapy services to students, addressing areas such as mobility, motor skills, and physical functioning.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and parents to establish and monitor students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Offer guidance and support to teachers and staff on strategies to promote physical development and independence among students.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student assessments, progress reports, and therapy plans.
  • Continuously monitor student progress and adapt therapy plans as needed to ensure optimal outes.
  • Provide indirect support through consultation and collaboration with school staff to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings to provide valuable input on students' physical therapy goals and progress.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Louisiana state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Previous experience working with students in a school setting is preferred.
  • Ability to start within 2 weeksand mit to the position for the rest of the school year.
  • Strong understanding of physical therapy principles and practices, especially in the context of special education.
  • Excellent munication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, parents, teachers, and fellow staff members.
  • Dedication to helping students improve their physical abilities and overall well-being.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to address the diverse physical therapy needs of students.
