Job Description
ProCare Therapy is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in Hazlehurst, MS. As a contracted Special Education Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing support and instruction to students with diverse learning needs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Adapt instructional materials and techniques to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Provide direct instruction in core academic subjects, social skills, and life skills.
- Collaborate with other members of the educational team, including teachers, therapists, and parents, to support student progress.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and services provided.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Valid Special Education teaching certification/license in the state of Mississippi.
- Previous experience working with students with special needs preferred.
- Strong understanding of special education laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
