Women’s Volleyball Head CoachDescription/Job Summary

The Women’s Head Volleyball Coach assists the Athletic Director in all aspects of developing and implementing the BCCC Women’s Volleyball Program. The coach recruits new players and facilities the practice and competition schedule for the year.

Responsibilities/Duties
  • Runs all aspects of the program including, but not limited to recruiting, scouting, scheduling, practices, coaching, and teaching players.
  • Attends all competition games and travels to away games with team.
  • Assists the athletic director with arranging travel arrangements and meals for away games.
  • Assists the athletic director with monitoring student academic progress.
  • Recruit college-quality athletes.
  • Assists the athletic director with budget preparation and requests.
  • Develops relationships with area high schools, colleges and universities as pertains to recruiting new players.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Previous successful coaching or playing experience at high school or collegiate level Recruiting experience
  • Strong network of coaches
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, while maintaining ties with team through communication and coordination Must be able to work nights and weekend and postseason events; some travel involved
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge and experience working in Baltimore high school sports
  • Knowledge of NJCC Rules
  • Community College Experience
