Forklift Driver

Welcome to Staffmark in Torrance, CA, where we're excited to present an outstanding opportunity for Forklift Drivers!

Pay: $21.50/hr

Schedule: 6 am to 6 pm and 8 am to 8 pm, Monday through Saturday

As a Forklift Driver, your responsibilities will include receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products according to customer guidelines and ISO 9001 standards where applicable. Here's a glimpse into what you'll be doing:

• Reading production schedules, customer orders, and work orders to determine items to be moved or distributed
• Sorting and placing materials or items in designated locations based on predetermined sequences
• Assembling customer orders, staging them, and conveying them to the packing station or shipping department
• Operating forklifts, clamp trucks, or other power equipment to load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials
• Maintaining clean and safe equipment, reporting service requests as needed
• Ensuring warehouse security and adhering to safety protocols
• Checking orders for accuracy and neatness according to ISO 9001 procedures
• Recording amounts of materials received or distributed, and marking materials with identifying information
• Participating in customer rework projects and assisting with physical inventories and stock rotation

To thrive in this role, candidates should possess a minimum of 3 months of warehouse experience and be familiar with operating 1 to 3 pieces of warehouse equipment. Additionally, applicants should demonstrate the ability to comprehend instructions effectively and have the physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. A keen eagerness to learn proper equipment operations is also essential for success in this position.
