Machine Operator - County Materials

We are seeking a Machine Operator in our Landscape & Masonry Divisionfor our customer, County Materials in Marathon City, WI.

Machine Operators manufacture landscape and masonry products for inventory and specific jobs.

Job Duties

• Setup and operate the block machine.
• Setup and operate the batching equipment.
• Oversee the packaging of the product.
• Ensure machines are kept clean and well-maintained at all times.
• Maintain and practice safety procedures and policies.
• Maintain a production schedule.
• Produce high-quality products while maintaining efficiency and consistency.
• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and housekeeping.
• Maintain a daily maintenance log.

Work Environment

• Work indoors
• Work near moving machinery and equipment - could include electrical hazards.
• Work in a noisy environment

Physical Requirements

• Carrying/Lifting 10-40 pounds frequently
• Carrying/Lifting 40+ pounds occasionally
• Standing/Walking/Climbing
• Squatting/Crouching/Kneeling/Bending
• Pushing/Pulling/Reaching Above Shoulder

Experience & Qualifications

• Strong mechanical background
• Ability to identify and utilize basic hand and power tools
• Good math skills - must be able to use a tape measure
• Strong attention to quality and detail
• Ability to identify and react to a quickly changing environment
• Strong understanding of production processes and the importance of efficiency
• Strong desire and willingness to learn and be trained
• Strong communication skills
• Leadership characteristics
• Strong work ethic
• Previous forklift operation desired but not required
