Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team. The CNA will provide direct care to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping people, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
  • Help patients with mobility and positioning, transferring and ambulating as needed
  • Take and record vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse
  • Observe and report any changes in the patient's condition to the nurse
  • Assist with patient meals and hydration needs
  • Perform basic nursing procedures such as wound care, catheter care, and bowel and bladder management
  • Assist with range-of-motion exercises and other rehabilitation activities
  • Clean and organize patient rooms and maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients
  • Participate in care planning and document care provided in the patient's medical record
  • Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and the healthcare team

Qualifications:

  • Current certification as a nursing assistant (CNA) in the state of employment
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical ability to lift and move patients, and perform other duties as assigned

Working Conditions:

  • Work may be performed in a hospital, nursing home, or other healthcare setting
  • May be required to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • May be required to lift and move patients and stand for long periods of time
  • May be exposed to infectious diseases and other hazards commonly found in a healthcare setting
