Position Title: Maintenance Technician – 3rd Shift

Wage: $28.00-$30.00 per hour

Shift: 3rd

Hours: 10:00pm-6:00am

QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Maintenance Technician at a company in Franksville, WI. This is a 3rd shift, direct hire position. 

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, including practicing safe work habits, maintaining organization, safe food defense and good manufacturing practices.
- Practice safe work habits always.
- Turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs.
- Complete daily and weekly equipment clean-ups. Be proactive in the maintenance of equipment. 
- Demonstrate ability to parallel all rolls, make all required settings and adjustments for optimum equipment performance to manufacture quality products. 
- Demonstrate ability to teach others in all qualification requirements and proper maintenance procedures. 
- Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot programmable controllers and troubleshoot and repair all A/C and D/C drives and motors, along with control systems.
- Demonstrate ability to use all aspects of the maintenance software program. 
- Demonstrate ability to plan and schedule maintenance work, assign work to other employees according to their abilities and limitations. 
- Follow up all work in order to ensure repairs and work are performed safely and properly. 
- Maximize the utilization of equipment by maintaining the machinery to run at available capacity and speed. 
- Complete all paperwork neatly, correctly, and in accordance with company guidelines. 
- Help maintain good housekeeping in work areas. 
- Willingly work all necessary hours and shifts. 
- The Maintenance Technician is backed up by other Maintenance Technicians. 
- Additional duties may be assigned by management.

Maintenance Technician Requirements:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. 
- Possess the ability to motivate and maintain effective working relationships with staff and partners. 
- Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. 
- Ability to successfully work to reach company goals in an environment in which a wide degree of creativity and latitude is required of this position. 
- Provide own tools necessary to perform maintenance tasks.
- High school diploma or GED. 
- Prior work experience in the corrugated industry preferred. 
- Two years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in manufacturing preferred.
- Able to read and follow work instructions and shop copy information.
- Able to read a tape measure and micrometer with speed and accuracy.
- Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume and rate.
- Able to apply concepts of high school math.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving one or more concrete variables in standardized situations.
- The individual must have a working knowledge of the following: · Equipment design and capabilities that can be translated into efficient operation. · Product layouts and production specifications · Product quality specifications · Quality standards.
