Position Overview: As a Yarn Specialist, you will be the go-to expert for our customers, providing guidance, expertise, and exceptional service in the world of yarn. Your role will involve assisting customers in selecting the perfect yarn for their projects, offering advice on patterns, and maintaining a vibrant and organized yarn section within the store.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide expert guidance to customers on yarn selection based on their project requirements and preferences.
  2. Assist customers in understanding different yarn weights, fibers, and dye lots.
  3. Stay updated on the latest yarn trends, patterns, and techniques to provide valuable recommendations.
  4. Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing yarn display.
  5. Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
  6. Offer assistance in pattern selection and troubleshooting for knitting and crochet projects.
  7. Collaborate with the team to create engaging displays and promotions.

Qualifications:

  1. Passion for knitting and crochet with a deep knowledge of various yarn types, weights, and textures.
  2. Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
  3. Previous retail experience, especially in a yarn or craft store, is a plus.
  4. Creative flair and an eye for aesthetics to contribute to visual merchandising.
  5. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Friendly and approachable demeanor, with a genuine desire to help customers.
  7. Basic computer skills for processing transactions and inventory management.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
