Forklift Operator | Material Handler | $16.50-$17.25/hr
If you have at least one year of forklift operation and material handler experience and you’re looking for a new opportunity to expand your skills, this Forklift Operator position may interest you.
A growing manufacturer of steel building structures has multiple temp-to-hire Forklift Operator openings on their 1st & 2nd shift teams. The worksite is in the Wolcott area, just 20 minutes from Rensselaer!
In this role, you'll be operating a forklift & other equipment to organize and distribute inventory. Some of the steel building structures are large and are moved using cranes. Whether you’re learning to operate cranes for the first time or expanding your skills – you'll be set up for success with supportive training.

Forklift Operator Job Duties:
- Operate equipment to organize and distribute inventory.
- Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
- Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
- Documents materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units.
Pay: $16.50 - $17.25 per hour
Available Schedules:
- 1st Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00am – 4:30pm
- 2nd Shift: Monday – Friday, 4:30pm – 2:00am
**Built-in overtime!
Forklift Operator Job Requirements:
- At least one year of previous forklift operation and material handler experience
- Able to stand, bend, and twist throughout shift
- Able to solve basic math equations
