• Strong mechanical ability and/or experience is required.
• Ability to accurately read and interpret drawings and prints.
• Proficiency in using and reading micrometers, calipers, tape measures, and precision measuring instruments.
• Competency in using hand and power tools and equipment, including hoists and cranes.

Responsibilities:

• Operate tools and equipment while adhering to safe work practices.
• Detect any faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and promptly notify supervisors.
• Install toolboxes under or on trailers.
• Mount tires on suspensions.
• Clean trailers after assembly.
• Mount fenders and mud flaps.
• Examine workpieces for defects and ensure conformance with specifications by measuring workpieces accurately.
• Lay out, position, align, and secure parts using hand tools and measurement tools.
• Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, work orders, and material safety data sheets to plan layout and assembly.
• Mark or tag material with proper job numbers, piece marks, and other required identifying marks.
• Position and secure workpieces using hoists, cranes, wire, banding machines, or hand tools.
• Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.
• Set up and use ladders and platforms as necessary to complete work safely.

Physical Demands: The physical demands of this role include:

• Ability to stand, walk, climb, crawl, and bend for extended periods.
• Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work at heights of up to 15 feet.
