Experience:
- Must be enrolled in an accredited Radiology program and licensed by the State of Mississippi. CPR Certification
- Proficient in CT scanning (preferred)
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- Must be enrolled in an accredited Radiology program and licensed by the State of Mississippi. CPR Certification required.

Position Summary:
The Radiology Assistant helps performs all radiology/CT procedures using digital imaging in addition to CT contrast studies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare the exam room for examinations and assist Radiologists with procedures.
- Assist with maintenance of equipment and report machinery failure.
- Assist with scan tests.
- Assist in management of several patients and priorities.
- Work under supervision Rad/CT Techs and cooperate with other team members.
- Adheres to all hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
- Attend and participate in in-service education programs as directed or scheduled.
- Maintains confidentiality in matters related to patient, family and facility staff
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:
The Radiologic Technologist Assistant must have the ability to move around freely, walk and stand for long periods of time; use stomach and lower back muscles to support the body for long periods without getting tired; use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls; bend or twist their body; understand the speech of another person and speak clearly so listeners can understand; and see details of objects that are less than a few feet away and at a distance.
