Are you a Transportation-focused Project Engineer who is experienced in Design Build/Alternative Delivery pursuits?
As an Alternative Delivery Project Engineer, you will become part of a dedicated team that provides technical and production support in the development of Alternative Technical Concepts (ATCs), geometric design, and plans production for major Alternative Delivery (Design-Build) projects and pursuits.
As an Alternative Delivery Project Engineer, you will become part of a dedicated team that provides technical and production support in the development of Alternative Technical Concepts (ATCs), geometric design, and plans production for major Alternative Delivery (Design-Build) projects and pursuits.
Your Primary Responsibilities will include
- Perform engineering designs including geometric alignments, profiles, cross-sections, construction, and Temporary Traffic Control details.
- Creation of engineering documents including Typical Section Packages, Pavement Design Reports, and Variation/Exception Reports.
- Perform advanced MicroStation/GEOPAK/Open Roads processes using 3D modeling.
- Coordinate plans, calculations, and specifications amongst multi-discipline engineering teams.
What you'll need
- Bachelor of Science from an ABET-accredited university in Civil Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of transportation roadway design experience
- Registration as a Professional Engineer with the State of Florida
- Proficiency in MicroStation and/or Open Roads
- Strong knowledge of FDOT plans preparation criteria, FDM and Standard Plans
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
- Detail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment
- Valid driver’s license with approved/acceptable driving history required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on limited access projects
- Experience working on alternative delivery projects
- Experience with 3D corridor modeling
