Your role at BHSN:

As a Crisis Clinician at BHSN, you will play an integral part in bringing about positive change in our community. Our Crisis Team works closely with families, adults, children and adolescents who are experiencing a crisis or simply need to talk. We are community-based and our goal is to listen, identify how to resolve the crisis and help people regain a sense of control.

What your day might look like:

  • Provide crisis intervention services including comprehensive risk assessment, individual/family therapy to individuals in crisis to restore safety to the individual and the community
  • Communicate with clients care team as clinically relevant
  • Respond as a member of a mobile crisis team to individuals & families within the region
  • Participate in on-call crisis triage for crisis call center
  • Connect clients to pertinent outpatient services

Your skills and qualifications:

  • NYS LMHC, LMSW, LCSW, or LCSW-R licensure is required
  • Strong engagement, clinical and interpersonal skills required
  • Ability to work afternoon and evening hours required
  • Familiarity with databases and electronic health record systems preferred
  • Valid NYS driver’s license with driving record acceptable to BHSN insurance carrier required
