Utility (Stock/Dishwasher) - Part-Time (Benefits Available)

SUMMARY for UTILITY POSITION:

• The Utility / Stock position at VMRC is to our Dining teams what a utility player is to sports' teams. Utility players are a huge asset to a team because they can play in different positions. You can be a huge asset to our team too! Depending on the team's needs, in this role, your responsibilities will include: dishwashing; receiving/stocking supplies; transporting/delivering food; cleaning; and restocking trays and flatware on the serving line or storage area as needed.
  

PAY RATE FOR UTILITY:

• Based upon previous experiences and qualifications, the starting base rate of pay is $13.10 - $17.03 per hour.

SCHEDULE OPTIONS:

Part-Time w/ Benefits (Independent Living):

Schedule is typically provided 2 weeks in advance.

• 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday, Wednesday and Friday
• Additional/alternative hours may be required on occasion, based upon staffing schedules
• 48 hours per pay period (every 2 weeks)

• High school graduate or GED equivalent preferred but not required.
• One year similar experience in an institutional food service environment is preferred but not required.
• Requires long hours standing and lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds.
• Possess basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand the basics of the English language and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Willing to work additional hours, holidays, and weekends as scheduled.
• Willing to cross-train in various job duties within VMRC Dining Services.
• Ability to interact tactfully with residents, families, and the general public in a positive, professional, and customer-first manner.
• Self-motivated with the ability to schedule time wisely and accommodate changes, and work independently with limited supervision.
