We are seeking an energetic Activity Aid to join our team! You will be leading individuals in meet collective and individual needs. We are a small day center for Adults with special needs. (Examples: Autistic, Blind, Repeated Seizures, and cognitively challenged)

You:

Responsibilities:

• Help individuals with developing social and emotional skills
• Use a range of creative ideas that may include crafts, games, puzzles, outdoor activities, and community activities.
• Communicate with parents and other school personnel
• Assess students skills and performance to ensure they are meeting developmental milestones

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of people with special needs
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines
• Problem solving and mediation skills
• Knowledge of working as a Team
• The desire to have fun
