Island Hospitality Management is currently seeking a Workers Compensations Claims Examiner who will work closely with the Vice President of Risk Management and be responsible for administering the workers compensation program for the company.

Requirements:

Job Requirements:

  • Monitor claims and ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • Reach out to injured employees to provide support and assistance throughout the claims process
  • Work with adjusters, attorneys, nurse case managers, and insurance agents to ensure claims are handled efficiently and effectively
  • Administer various programs, including incentive programs, to positively affect our claims experience
  • Assist with additional responsibilities outside of workers compensation within the Risk Management Department

Job Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills and professionalism
  • Good with time management
  • Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement
  • Ability to work both with a team and alone
  • Must work well in fast-paced environments
  • Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems as necessary
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
