Position Summary

Drive BSM's sales objectives and initiatives. Execute short- and long-term sales strategies and recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential.

Duties and Responsibilities

Builds Market Position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships
  • Locate or propose potential sales by contacting potential leads; discovering and exploring opportunities
Build Relationships and Networks
  • Maintain and expand existing personal industry contacts establishing relationships with key individuals and within the appropriate customers that control or influence sourcing decisions relative to the Company's product and opportunities
  • Communicate at mid-level positions within customer base
  • Maintain and work in a remote office within a 50-mile radius of the Cambridge/Boston area
Promote the Company Strategically
  • Maintain long term commitments with customers
Master New Solutions and Capabilities
  • Understand quickly where and how new solutions and products can be positioned
  • Research and learn new emerging technology and trends in aseptic processing
Build Personal Credibility
  • Operate with high professional standards, adhering to the Company's principles for support and consistently doing the right thing for customers
  • Learn and grow in understanding of BSM's aseptic capabilities
  • Create price proposals and obtain customer acceptance (i.e., PO, signed quotes, etc.)
  • Host client site visits at the facility in Lee, MA
  • Participate in meeting daily metrics for calls, visits, quoting, purchase order collection as well as attending a weekly progress meeting
  • Other duties as assigned

Regulatory Responsibilities

Conduct business in a responsible manner that complies with all state, FDA, EU, OSHA and HIPAA regulations, or otherwise as applicable

Experience

A minimum of two (2) years pharma industry related experience in sales capacity

Education

Bachelor’s degree in a science or technical field is desired

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong written and oral communication
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent time management
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Flexible to change priorities, travel schedules, and planned work on short notice
  • Self-assured and competent dealing with all levels of an organization
  • Must be able to travel at least 60% of the time
  • Have reliable transportation in order to attend on-site company meetings, host clients at the facility and visit clients up and down the East Coast

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to stand for prolong periods of time
  • Able to lift up to l0lbs
