The Mercadien Group is hiring for a Tax Director or Principal to become a Leader in our Tax Practice with a Partnership opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Be a technical and consultative tax resource to all professionals in the firm
• Keep up technically and disseminate information to tax professionals and the remainder of the firm as appropriate
• Provide advice relating to a variety of corporate tax structure needs within our client base
• Service a large book of clients
• Consult with other professionals within the firm on technical tax matters
• Assist all client service teams as needed (i.e. manager level review of files, participating as a subject matter expert, etc.)
• Develop strategic business development plan anticipating new tax service needs
• Write articles and newsletters to disseminate tax law changes and issues to clients and prospective clients

• Must possess a JD degree, and an LLM is preferred
• Must have deep and wide-ranging technical tax advisory skills covering a variety of areas
• Must be skilled at tax planning and consulting
• Must possess proficient computer skills, with particular skills in building financial models
• Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism
