CNC Programmer - Full-time

Enjet Aero machines and fabricates complex jet engine parts, components and assemblies for leading OEMs in the commercial, defense and general aviation sectors. Position Description: CNC Programmer is responsible for selecting programming strategy and writing code for CNC machines using NX software, along with creation and maintenance of setup documentation for shop use.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Selection of cutting tools for specific applications.
• Writes code for CNC machines using NX software from supplied solid models.
• Develop NC programs using machine probing for part position verification and data collection.
• Confirms program accuracy by utilizing Vericut simulation software.
• Creation and maintenance of setup documentation.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years’ experience in manufacturing/machining environment.
  1. Knowledge of cutting tools/techniques.
  2. Knowledge of different types of machines – 3, 4, 5-axis milling, turning, multi-function Mill/Turn.
  3. Knowledge of different material types – Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Titanium, High Nickel Alloys, etc.
  4. Knowledge of common/current metal removing processes/techniques, and cutting tool applications (feeds / speeds / etc.)
• 5+ years’ experience programming CNC equipment.
  1. Knowledge of G and M code programming
  2. Experienced NX user – drafting, modeling, and CAM modules
  3. Knowledge of common 3D model types.
  4. Experience working with 3D models.
  5. Experience with CGTech Vericut simulation software.
• Experience with CGTech Vericut machine building is preferred.
• Ability to develop and edit NX post processors is preferred.
• General computer experience.
  1. Microsoft Office products – Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.
  2. Windows 10 experience.
  3. Ability to navigate and understand file structure and naming convention in Windows Explorer environment.
  4. Able to communicate effectively and efficiently with all levels of the organization.
• Able to collaborate fluently in a team environment and manage changing priorities based on business needs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Possible travel as required for training and multi-site support.
