Working in a high volume, multi-tasked, goal oriented, team environment, this position is responsible for handling all types of transactions related to Builders Risk business while providing quality, customer service to our agents in a professional, timely and accurate manner. Additionally, provide support services to the underwriting department, while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
- While maintaining productivity and quality standards, provide support services to the underwriting department to include, but not limited to the following:
- Handling policy extensions
- Following up on additional information needed on existing policies or new business
- Processing manual direct notice of cancellations and non-renewals
- Handling of CBR manual reporting and deposit premium files
- Handling of the policy issuance process and organizing commercial policies prior, during and after policy issuance which includes endorsements and renewals
- Run Risk Browser Servicer (RMS) on quotes and renewals and complete the rating worksheet
- Using templates/systems to produce business documents for Builders Risk and related policies within prescribed time frames
- Maintains forms database by updating and adding new policy forms
- Ability to effectively and knowledgeably communicate with agents and internal staff in writing or verbally
- log and organize underwriting documentation into multiple systems
- Timely maintains multiple types of requests in the CBR mailbox
- Serve as liaison between underwriting and agents
- Utilize company systems to enter all transactions while maintaining production and quality standards
- Ensure all problems, processing and inquiries are handled efficiently within established time frames
- Work in partnership with stakeholders and US Assure’s corporate vision and mission
- Participate in knowledge transfer within team
- Consistently strives to build a multi-dimensional knowledge base
- Continuous improvement targets leaning needed, seeks learning activities, maximizes learning , applies knowledge or skill and tasks risk in learning

Experience working in a multi-tasked, customer service, production driven environment.
Additional Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Word and Excel
- Ability to accurately type 35 WPM
- Basic knowledge of the property and casualty insurance industry, preferred
- Basic knowledge of accounting, billing and/or accounts receivable principles
- Basic knowledge of accepted business software and legacy systems
- Basic knowledge of products and services within the insurance industry, preferred
- Basic knowledge of Internet usage
- Ability to learn and understand underwriting basics and rating development
