Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The essential duties and responsibilities of this job are included but not limited to this job description – other tasks may be assigned and expected to be performed.

  • Generate CNC programs for Fanuc and Mazatrol controls on the various CNC equipment in the department.
  • Set up and operate a wide range of metal removal processes and other operations associated to ensure that all equipment is maintained and run to the high levels of efficiency and quality stipulated by U.S. Tsubaki standards. Primarily responsible for set-up and operation of CNC lathes to maintain close tolerances and work specifications.
  • Programs, sets up and operates numerically controlled vertical and horizontal lathes, turret lathes, engine lathes, to perform one of a series of repetitive operations such as turning, boring, threading or facing of metal work pieces according to specifications on an altered basis.
  • Able to measure all quality parameters of machined parts and determine corrective action where appropriate to the processes concerned.
  • Retrieve raw material and transfer finished components to subsequent processes to ensure continuous operation of equipment.
  • Assist, train and develop operators.
  • Ability to create new programs from engineering drawings and make major modifications to existing CNC programs when deemed necessary or required.
  • Regular and timely attendance.
  • Other tasks, functions, and projects as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • CNC related degree, college level classes, trade school graduate or any additional training in the trades are a plus.
  • Self-motivated to take ownership of work schedule and quality.
  • Team player will work with other team members in the section to keep the process moving and improving.
  • Work closely with other team members both inside and outside the section in order to satisfy the needs of internal and external customers.
  • Judgment: Make decisions in order to perform a variety of tasks having timely constraints.
  • Physical demands: Capable of handling moderate weights.
