Position Title: Project Manager - Southwest Florida (22054)

Location: North Port, FL - North Port, FL


Salary Range: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 Salary/year




Description:

Position Summary:
Manage assigned projects from initiation through completion ensuring the customers expectations are met while maximizing Adams Group’s potential profit. Critical items include but are not limited to ensuring specifications are met, budgets and timelines are met and all departments within Adams Group are kept informed and up to date on any and all relevant changes.


Essential functions:

  • Review all project scopes prior to hand off meeting note any challenges
  • Manage information to all departments: drafting, engineering, manufacturing and installation
  • Works closely with Drafting Manager throughout the drafting process
  • Communicate with Project Draftsman and Engineers on what the expectations and needs are for given projects
  • Review shop drawings prior to submittal to General Contractor
  • Attend work order release to verify/release to production as necessary
  • Identify long lead time items
  • Furnish Purchasing with preliminary and final material requirements for projects when necessary
  • Monitor and address back orders - adjust communication to appropriate parties accordingly
  • Works closely with the Plant Manager to determine work flow necessities and schedule accordingly
  • Manage project schedule and coordinate schedules with clients
  • Resolve project scope issues and develop contingency plan if necessary
  • Manage field measurement process with Project Superintendent
  • Create and manage change order requests
  • Maintain accurate information by regularly communicating with General Contractor
  • Coordinate installation schedule with General Contractor
  • Attend jobsite meetings (which may require out of town and overnight travel) in conjunction with Field Superintendent
  • Work within the confines of a budget and know projected contribution margin at financial review meetings
  • Maintain accurate schedule of values and maximize billings amounts on all assigned projects
  • Coordinate subcontractor installation with Field Superintendent
  • Determine which subcontractors are used on outsourced items and proactively seek new vendors
  • Generate job summary document on each project
  • Treat each internal and external customer respectfully and communicate both good and sometimes not so good information when necessary
  • Maintain a positive attitude towards personal, department and company goals



Qualifications:

Required education and experience:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Clean driving record
  • Possess working knowledge of the architectural woodworking business including, but not limited to cabinets, trim work, and solid surface
  • Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings and cut lists
  • Strong overall computer (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, Internet, Facebook) and architectural drafting skills
  • Excellent ability to multi-task and keep up to date with knowledge of project process
  • Self-starter
  • Ability to work with little to no supervision
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines
  • Be a catalyst for change
  • Clean and neat appearance
