TITLE: CAS Staff / Senior accountant

DESCRIPTION:

Work in the client advisory services department providing accounting, bookkeeping and other duties to clients. Work directly with clients to provide them with the tools to help effectively run their business.

  • Responsibilities
  • Perform or assist team with month end closing procedures
  • Perform or assist team/client with daily accounting services
  • Directly communicate with clients to perform service and answer client questions and respond to needs
  • Prepare and maintain supporting schedules and reconciliations for asset/liability accounts and select revenue and expense accounts
  • Reconcile clients bank and credit card accounts
  • Prepare required journal entries
  • Assist with financial statement and supplemental report preparation
  • Process Accounts Payable and check requests, review general ledger to ensure consistency and accuracy of coding
  • Process Accounts Receivable invoices and maintain AR system records for clients: general ledger coding review for accuracy and consistency, process cash receipts
  • Assist with external audit and 990/ tax filings at year end by preparing schedules and any other necessary information
  • Assist team with year-end vendor review for 1099 processing
  • Perform self-review to ensure accuracy of work


POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in relevant field (Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or other related field) or significant related work experience
  • 3-5 years of bookkeeping experience or similar accounting/tax experience;
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of accounting systems including QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, ADP, Excel, QuickBooks Desktop or other accounting software.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong project and time management skills
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Supervision and training of other staff experience
  • Develop, maintain and build client relationships
  • Solid understanding of bookkeeping, payroll, and accounting payable/receivable
  • Ability to work multiple projects simultaneously
