Title: Roving Property Manager

Job Classification: Exempt

Reports To: Director of Director

Purpose: In the absence of site staff, assist and manage various properties as well as help with the training of new Property Managers and other staff to ensure the success of both the property and the new employee.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide residents and prospects with exceptional customer service and foster excellent resident relations.

Supervise and direct site staff as necessary.

Enforce company policies and procedures.

Process applications and other necessary paperwork to lease or renew apartments.

Assist residents with questions and record maintenance service requests.

Receive and enter rents, late fees, concessions and other charges from applicants and residents

Participate in rent collection, and collection of delinquent rents as well as file UD’s and send late rent letters.

Assist Portfolio Director with various responsibilities, including budget preparation.

Assist with property transitions as well as providing training for staff.

Perform site inspections, including physical, file and compliance reviews.

Assist with maintaining budget controls, maximizing income potential, and controlling operating expenses.

Assist with preparation and performance of marketing outreach program.

Assist and participate in resident activities and retention programs such as National Night Out.

Assist in maintaining impeccable curb appeal and interior/exterior cleanliness.

Assist with implementation of plans, strategies, policies, and procedures in accordance with company goals, objectives, strategic vision and mission statement.

Assist staff and Portfolio Director with maintaining the property by working with vendors as necessary to ensure completion of work orders, projects and capital improvements.

Perform other duties, as assigned.


Position Requirements:

Must possess a minimum of three years of progressive property management experience including previous management and leasing experience.

Affordable housing experience desired or must attend training in compliance and other affordable courses as necessary to succeed in the position.

Must possess the ability to communicate effectively, both written and oral.

Must possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.

Must have the ability to meet deadlines.

Must have intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Knock and Yardi experience desired

Travel up to 100% of the time as necessary to help at REE sites including out of state properties.

Must have a valid driver’s license, insurance and a reliable vehicle.

Thorough knowledge and application of Fair Housing Laws.

Consistently follow, enforce and support REE screening criteria as required by the Fair Housing Laws and REE.


Physical Requirements:

Sit for extended periods of time in front of a computer.

Ability to sit, stand, bend and stoop and go up and down stairs as necessary

Ability to lift up to 10 pounds.



Monday - Friday, some weekends as needed for business need.
Full time, 40 hours per week.

Compensation details: 60000-70000 Yearly Salary
