JOB TITLE: CMM Programmer/ Inspector


DEPARTMENT: Quality

REPORTS TO: Supervisor, Metrology & Quality Inspection


PRIMARY FUNCTION OF POSITION:

Inspects products manufactured or processed to ensure compliance with contract specifications by performing the following duties.


DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

• Inspects product to determine compliance with specifications, both dimensional and visual; Libra's quality control system for compliance with requirements for conformity to specified standards.

• Stamps mark of approval or rejection on product and writes report of examination or signs off on product.

• Run, operate and program CMMs.

• Recommend adjustments to the assembly or production process.

• Assist in the control of nonconforming product.

• Help in continuous improvement activities.

• Follows inspection and control plans to ensure product quality.

• Coordinates data files and quality records in accordance with the Libra's quality control system.

• Prepared backup CMM accessories probes, extensions and all phases of CMM hardware.


SKILLS /EXPERIENCE PREFFERED:

• Associate's degree in Engineering Technology or greater.

• Certified Mechanical Inspector status through ASQ.

• Aukom Training.

• ASME GD&T Training.

• Minimum of 3 years Zeiss Calypso experience.


EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• High school diploma or GED.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• This position will work in both front and shop environments.

• In the shop, you will be exposed to airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, machines, and material handling vehicles. PPE is required in this shop area.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• While performing duties of this job, the employee is required to have good hearing and sight.

• You will need to be able to walk the shop floor and be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
