Summary:

The Certification Engineer for our Minnesota team will be responsible for the certification of Airgain strategic products across all global regulatory, industry, and wireless-carrier approvals. This role will influence product/project planning up-front to prepare for certification success and be the company's product-certification owner with external authorities and partners.

Essential Function:

• Complete technical analysis to define detailed requirements related to certification compliance for Airgain products.
• Lead project activity to confidently prepare & deliver successful certification results on Airgain product projects.
• Ensure tight internal coordination with Product/Project-Management and Engineering to drive achieving successful & on-time results.
• Responsible for certification project budgets with Airgain Management and Finance.
• Ownership of external interaction with testing-service partners + certification authorities – for tactical project execution as well as longer-term Airgain/partner relationship.
• Certification scope includes global regulatory (FCC, CE, etc.) + industry type-approval (PTCRB, GCF, UL, etc.) and multiple network-operator certifications with Tier-1 mobile network operators.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline (preferred)
• 5+ Experience required in Wireless, Telecommunications, Embedded Systems (preferred)
• Certification expert in Regulatory, Industry + Wireless-operator approvals
• Demonstrated results in achieving product certifications – either for modules or complete products
• Seasoned wireless-product certification expertise in regulatory (FCC, CE, UL) + industry (PTCRB, GCF, Anatel) + wireless-carrier approvals with Tier 1 mobile network operators
• Strong planning and coordination to concurrently handle multiple product-certification projects
• Confident and poised communicator to represent Airgain with certification authorities and partners

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $100,000 - $107,000 + target annual bonus.

Our salary ranges are determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to the role, location, job-related skills, relevant education, experience and training.

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the target range for new hire base salary for the position across all US locations and varies by the location of the position.
