Description:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES


  1. Assumes responsibility for the accurate and timely completion of assigned functions.


  • Perform routine maintenance and processing to card and account records on computer based systems.
  • Process payment related disputes and billing errors according to applicable guidelines as outlined in procedures.
  • Receive internal and external member phone calls, emails, and service events and resolve inquiries or refer appropriately.
  • Complete all assigned training and compliance as required.
  • Complies with all organizational policies and procedures and federal rules and regulations.
  • Makes recommendations for improving processes and procedures and increasing efficiencies.

2. Assumes responsibility for effectively researching, tracking, and resolving member account problems and discrepancies.


  • Research and resolve member inquiries regarding Payment Services functions according to SLE.

3. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with members, area personnel and with management.


  • Assist branches and related departments in a courteous and professional manner. Answers questions and resolves problems according to timelines defined in department SLE.
  • Cross-train in other related Payment Services tasks and perform duties on a rotational basis or as otherwise needed.
  • Keep management informed of area activities and of any significant problems.
  • Attend and participate in meetings as required.

4. Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.


  • Ensure work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.
  • Complete additional duties and special projects as assigned.




PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS


  • Payment Services functions are efficiently, effectively, and accurately performed in accordance with established policies, standards, and program requirements.
  • Entries to ledgers and members' accounts are accurate and timely.
  • Problem accounts are researched and promptly resolved.
  • Professional business relations exist with members, institutions, and businesses. Assistance is provided as needed.
  • Good working relations exist with Credit Union personnel. Assistance and support are provided as required.
  • Management is appropriately informed of area activities.


Requirements:

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: High school graduate or equivalent.


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE : General knowledge of Credit Union policies and procedures

  • Understanding of Credit Union philosophy.
  • General knowledge of Credit Union products and services


EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: At least one year of financial institution operation experience


SKILLS/ABILITIES: Well organized.

  • Good attention to detail and accuracy.
  • High level of reasoning.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced work environment.
  • Good math skills.
  • Cooperative and willing to assist others.
  • Able to use PC, calculator, and other basic business machines.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products



PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION


FINGER DEXTERITY: Using primarily just the fingers to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects, or pinching fingers together.

REPETITIVE MOTIONS: Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

PHYSICAL STRENGTH: Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Exerts up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally. (Almost all office jobs.)
