Description:

SUMMARY

The Chief Compliance Officer is responsible for overseeing operational regulatory compliance such as BSA/AML, CRA, lending compliance, and deposit operations compliance for the bank. The Chief Compliance Officer will maintain and update as necessary the Bank's compliance program to ensure the Bank monitors, self-assesses and maintains compliance with lending, deposit, HDMA, CRA, BSA/AML and other applicable banking laws and regulations that affect operations and lending. This professional must have significant experience in compliance with financial institutions and must also be able to focus on details associated with compliance. This position is critical to the bank and requires exceptional judgment, ability to prioritize duties and exceptional organizational skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  1. Manage Banks Compliance, Risk & BSA programs and facilitate Regulatory Examinations for risk, BSA, operations compliance, and lending compliance by maintaining examination documentation, coordinating work papers, reviewing final report, preparing Action Plan.
  2. Primary contact for questions and issues arising during audits relating to regulations.
  3. Develop, review and update the bank's compliance policies and risk assessments for presentment to the Board.
  4. Develop and manage the CRA strategy for the bank and chair the CRA Committee.
  5. Reports remediation progress to the bank's Board of Directors audit committee for all exam, internal, and external audit findings.
  6. Develops and/or reviews new and revised procedures, forms, advertisements/marketing materials and agreements to ensure compliance with appropriate Federal and State laws and regulations.
  7. Conduct periodic Internal Reviews to maintain compliance in Bank branches and departments.
  8. Develop, review, schedule, and present bank regulatory training presentations.
  9. Chair for Compliance Committee.
  10. Prepare compliance reports for the Board's Audit and Risk Committee.
  11. Review and convey, to bank employees, external training opportunities, provided by various organizations and assist with registration.
  12. Maintain regulatory knowledge through self-development training and conferences to maintain CRCM certification.
  13. Review and monitor all Customer Complaints.
  14. Monitor and ensure delivery of all required annual notices and disclosures and maintain NMLS registration and MLO information.
  15. Maintain current knowledge and follow all bank financial and security regulations and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Requirements

  • 5 years minimum experience in Banking Compliance
  • Managing one's own time and the time of others
  • Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience
  • Project a businesslike professionalism to the client in both appearance and manner.
  • Possess a strong customer service orientation, and a willingness to place the customer first.
  • Possess strong written/verbal communication skills as well as excellent organizational/time management skills.
  • Advanced skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; and word processing and spreadsheet software.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while performing duties.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CRCM Certification

The applicant who is selected for this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

  • Targeted hiring range based on experience: $125,000 - $150,000 annually. This range is an estimate based on potential employee qualifications and other considerations permitted by law under the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and Equal Pay Transparency Rules.
  • Bonus Eligibility: Annual bonus based on Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company Discretion.
