Staff Environmental Scientist/Geo/Eng - Now Hiring

Job Description: Ninyo & Moore has an immediate opening in our San Diego, California office for a Staff/Senior Staff-Level Environmental Professional. The successful candidate should have 3+ years of experience with Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, and other hazardous waste site investigations commensurate with years of experience.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.

Certification:Current OSHA HAZWOPER training. Other certifications and registrations a plus, particularly CSST or CAC.

Required Skills: Experience in environmental-related areas that may include various field tasks comprised of site reconnaissance, soil and groundwater sampling, borehole logging, well installation, air monitoring, coordination and oversight of subcontractor, and preparation of daily field reports; and various office tasks comprised of data compilation, review and assimilation of historic information and environmental databases, assisting with report preparation and other project documents, phone/email contact/coordination with subcontractors/vendors, phone/email contact related to interviews and discussions with site owner/users, and management of tasks and task budgets. Experience on construction sites a plus. Candidate must have solid base writing skills, effective inter-communication skills, familiarity with ASTM E1527-21 and ASTM E-1903-11, and ability to work with a support teams as well as ability to work independently when required. Also must have a proficiency with Word and Excel. Prior work history with a consulting firm preferred.
