Family Law Paralegal - California (100% remote, hybrid or on-site)

About Us:
We are a dynamic legal team seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Law Paralegal to join our practice. Our firm specializes in family law cases, providing comprehensive support to our clients in California.

Position Overview:
As a Family Law Paralegal, you will play a vital role in our practice, providing essential support to our attorneys and ensuring the efficient operation of our family law cases. We welcome both on-site and remote candidates to apply.

Responsibilities:
Draft accurate and efficient legal documents including declarations and pleadings. Respond to discovery requests and assist with discovery processes.
Utilize software such as DissoMaster for precise calculations of spousal and child support.
Maintain meticulous organization of case files and documentation.
Manage deadlines and timelines for case-related tasks.
Conduct professional interactions with clients, attorneys, and court personnel.
Provide assistance to attorneys with trial preparation and other litigation support tasks. Uphold confidentiality of client information and case details.
Meet the firm's billable hour requirements (1200 billable hours per year).

Requirements:
Paralegal certificate from an accredited institution, with a minimum of 1 year of recent experience in family law in California; OR Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field, with 1 year of recent experience as a family law paralegal in California.

Proficiency in legal software including WordPerfect, Essential Forms, etc.
Strong understanding of discovery rules and deadlines.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Professional demeanor and appearance.
Comfortable with numerical calculations and handling client interactions with empathy and professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using Amicus Attorney software.
Familiarity with DissoMaster for calculating support obligations.
