Shift Lead Operator - Nights

Job Type: Full time - some OT available

Salary: 17.hr. - $22/hr. - $2.00 - shift Differential + up to $2.20/hr. Monthly Bonus. Must have Forklift experience, Mechanical aptitude and Supervisory experience preferred. This is for backup or relief of the Primary Team Lead.

Hours: 6pm - 6am - (4 Days, TBD)

Shift Leadership 75%

• Act as key decision maker and direct the flow of work on your designated shift 45%
• Facilitate communicate between your shift and the one that follows so everyone understands the needs and goals for the next working shift 5%.
• Ensure all work is logged appropriately and take detailed notes of what happened during your shift for accurate recordkeeping 5%.
• Answer questions that arise from the employees on your shift 5%.
• Train and effectively coach employees as needed on various equipment and processes 5%.
• Primary accountability for ensuring a safe work environment for employees working on your shift 5%.
• Maintain regular communication with your Plant Manager on any operations, process or employee-related issues encountered on your shift 5%.

Mill/Dryer Operation and Quality Management 25%.

• Run and monitor all aspects of the SCADA system 10%.
• Take moisture samples at required intervals and conduct root cause analysis for any variances 5%.
• Troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, Problem Solving 5%.

Job Requirements:

High School diploma or GED preferred.

Manufacturing and production line experience required.

Prior experience operating manufacturing systems, equipment, monitoring systems, PLC programming or manufacturing software.

Prior lead or supervisory experience preferred.

Must possess good eye, hand and foot coordination.

Must have computer aptitude at an intermediate level.

Ability to concentrate for extended periods of time and multi-task.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for a minimum of 7 hours per day.

Required to read and interpret scales.

Requires mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Requires the ability to do simple math calculations.
