Quality Control Associate Position Summary:

Perform precision mechanical inspection and documentation verification of complex machined parts in a fast-paced environment. Perform mid and final inspection processes. Must have good understanding of GD&T, shop math, print reading, MS Office, and machining knowledge. You will be expected to interpret customer drawings, specifications and follow Travelers.

Quality Control Associate Key Responsibilities (in no specific order);

  • Preparation for FAI reports;
    • Balloon Drawings
    • Create FAI report – AS9102 format, Fathom format or Customer format.
  • Support the measurement of parts for FAI.
  • Complete In process measurements, and / or inspections as required.
  • Inspect Incoming and Outgoing materials for compliance, specifications, and conformance requirements.
  • Complete visual inspections on parts per requirements.
  • Review Part Routers to ensure all required operations have been completed and signed off.
  • Collect and provide data required for critical part Final Inspection Reports (EIDP)
  • Complete Discrepant Red Tags any forms required for rejected parts
  • Use surface plate to complete measurements, inspections.
  • Use DCC Microview to program and measure parts as required.
  • Assist with QMS maintenance activities as needed.
  • Support the creation of controlled work instructions, procedures, reports as needed.
  • Report safety concerns to Management.
  • Assist Operators with their questions / concerns regarding Product Safety, and Quality.
  • Assist with activities for creation of PPAP’s, or equivalent approval packages.
  • Assist with the Calibration program as required.
  • Manage sensitive and confidential information per US Regulations. (ITAR)

Quality Control Associate Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Associate degree in relevant field or technical certification preferred.
  • ASQ Certification is a plus
  • 2 years related work experience.
  • Able to work with general measurement equipment commonly found in a Machining facility.
  • Machine shop math knowledge
  • Experience with Aerospace customer requirements is a plus.
  • Experience with MS Office
  • General knowledge of CAD software (NetInspect or Solidworks) is a plus
  • Working knowledge of print reading and GD&T principles.
  • Familiarity with both metric and imperial until system
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High Attention to detail
  • Flexible, ability to work in a fast-pace team environment
  • Must read and write English

Monday - Thursday - 5:00a.m. - 3:30p.m. (OT Friday)
