Employers Expectation:

We are looking for a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our team. You will operate appropriate equipment to put together structures and parts with precision. Your job is important as it provides the foundation for strong infrastructure.

The welder must be competent in using various pieces of equipment following all safety precautions. The ideal candidate will also have a steady hand, attention to detail and critical thinking. Knowledge of different kinds of metal and their properties is essential.

Minimum of 2 year fabrication experience required.

Job Description

Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout

Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements

Operate grinders, saws ect. to prepare parts for welding

Align components using calipers, rulers, clamps ect.

Weld components using manual welding equipment in various positions

Have the ability to set up their own machine to establish proper feeds and speeds

Repair material by welding pieces and filling gaps

Have the ability read and interpret blueprints including having proficiency with interpreting weld symbols

Have the ability to successfully and efficiently weld butt weld, socket weld and brazed joints

Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws

Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety

Knowledge of relative safety standards and use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)

Fabrication is done mostly in shop, with installation at various work sites. Experience and knowledge in construction is imperative.

Responsible for assembling and welding pipe systems. Has the ability to tig, mig and stick weld pipe for water, steam, potable water, heating, cooling, lubricating, hydraulic, sprinkling, and industrial production and processing systems. In both thin wall and heavy wall pipe.

Physical Requirements;

Bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for significate periods of time.

Reach above head or shoulder lever for moderate periods of time.

Lift over head or carry 50lbs. unassisted/ 100 lbs with assistance.
