ProCare Therapy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in Coalinga, CA. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive school environment, providing specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities, collaborating with parents, general education teachers, and other members of the educational team.
  • Provide direct instruction in academic subjects, social skills, and life skills tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and assistive technologies to support student learning and engagement in the classroom.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed to ensure academic growth.
  • Collaborate with related service providers, such as speech therapists and occupational therapists, to address students' needs comprehensively.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and services provided, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Special Education or related field.
  • Valid California teaching credential with Special Education endorsement.
  • Previous experience working with students with disabilities, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt instruction to meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities.
