Licensed Vocational Nurse LVN

Star Nursing needs an LVN in Lake Isabella, CA!!!

Position: LVN

Location:  Lake Isabella, CA 93240

Facility: SNF

Duration: 13

Start Date: April 15, 2024

Shift: NOC shift Sun Mon Tue 1900-0730 guarantee 36hrs

EMR USED: AHT

Pay rate:

Local: $35

Travel no Housing: $13/hr taxed + $900/wk tax-free travel stipend (13/25)

Qualifications & Skills

·                     A current California LVN license required

·                     With long-term care experience (Must have Skilled Nursing experience)

·                      Operating knowledge of Electronic Medical Records is preferred.

·                     Must pass a nursing medical test and have current BLS certification.

·                     Must be able to effectively communicate in English; both verbal and written.

·                     Must have good interpersonal skills and interface professionally, tactfully, and respectfully with patients, staff, the general public, and governmental agency reps. 

·                     Basic computer skills required.

LVNs Responsibilities and Duties

• Record a patient’s medical history accurately
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, etc.
• Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications, etc.
• Monitor patients’ conditions including fluid intake and output and compose patient charts
• Assist ailing patients in daily necessary activities such as eating, bathing, etc.
• Administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas, etc., clean and dress wounds, and assist with other basic medical care tasks
• Collect samples for lab testing as assigned
• Provide emotional and psychological support when needed
• Communicate with patients’ families or friends to provide advice, comfort, and release instructions.
• Compassionate and able to handle stress.  

Requirements:   

1st Step:   

• Resume – long-term care experience
• Nursing license/Cert – Valid CA LVN License
• Minimum 3 years experience
• Current - BLS/CPR   
• Skills checklist   
• 2– current -Supervisor references   

2nd Step:   

• Physical (within the last 12 months)   
• PPD (within the last 12 months)   
• MMR, Varicella, Hep B or Titers- Vaccination   
• Tdap/Flu (or decline)   
• Covid Fully Vaccinated 
• Exams   
• LGBT Training Certification   
• Must be able to pass background/ urine drug screen
