We are looking for a results-oriented and experienced Plant Controller to oversee the financial operations of our manufacturing facility. The Plant Controller will play a critical role in leading financial planning and analysis, cost management, budgeting and forecasting, and monthly close processes. This position requires strong leadership abilities, exceptional analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of accounting principles within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the finance team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure effective performance.
  • Conduct comprehensive cost analysis to identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvements, and operational efficiencies.
  • Develop and maintain annual budgets and forecasts in collaboration with department heads and senior management.
  • Oversee the monthly financial close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, variance analysis, and key performance metrics to management to support decision-making.
  • Monitor inventory levels, production costs, and overhead expenses to optimize profitability and ensure cost control.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and other departments to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to inform strategic financial planning and decision-making.
  • Work with Plant Manager on determining improvement initiatives and targets, and communicate with Operations on KPls specific to improvement projects and cost reduction initiatives
  • Ensure adequate cash flow to meet the organization's needs.
  • Manage insurance, tax and financial audit requirements and lead engagement with all necessary third-party providers.


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA, CPA, or CMA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial leadership roles within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of leading teams, driving cost analysis, budgeting and forecasting, and managing monthly close processes.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP principles, cost accounting, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; experience with SAP is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
