Title: Director of Hotel Operations

Salary: $100K-$110K (negotiable)

Status: Direct Hire

Position Summary:

Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We're seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as the Director of Hotel Operations at The Queen Casino. In this pivotal role, you'll lead the charge in overseeing our Hotel, Valet, and Hotel Sales departments. From managing operational procedures to crafting strategic plans for revenue enhancement, your leadership will drive our success in delivering top-notch services and experiences. Essential Functions:

  • Conduct regular departmental meetings to ensure effective communication and alignment.
  • Assist in recruiting and hiring initiatives in collaboration with Human Resources.
  • Train and develop team members to uphold company service standards.
  • Analyze and recommend improvements to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Manage department budget effectively and ensure equipment is well-maintained.
  • Assist General Manager in maintaining AAA rating and ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Proactively generate new business and increase revenue through sales efforts.
  • Identify new business leads and conduct aggressive solicitation processes.
  • Ensure customer service standards are met and retained across all hotel departments.
  • Stay updated on rules, laws, regulations, policies, and internal controls relevant to hotel operations.
  • Immediately report safety hazards, maintenance issues, or problems to the appropriate party.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of hotel management experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Proven experience in a sales or marketing role, preferably in the hotel or casino industry.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a state Gaming License.

Working Environment & Physical Efforts:

  • 24/7 operation in the hospitality industry.
  • Primarily indoor work under controlled temperatures with occasional exposure to outdoor climates.
  • Physical activities include standing, walking, sitting, kneeling, reaching, pulling, pushing, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Speech and vision abilities are required.
