Soliant and its affiliates are proud to partner with districts in the Arcadia, LA area to provide students with the services they need for a successful future. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced School-Based Social Worker for a contract position in Arcadia.
Educational and Licensing Requirements:
- Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program
- State licensure as a Social Worker (LCSW or LMSW) in Louisiana
- pliance with all local and state licensure requirements
- At least one year of recent experience in the field of social work, preferably in an educational setting
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students' social-emotional needs and develop appropriate intervention plans
- Provide individual and group counseling services to students, addressing issues such as behavior management, academic challenges, and family dynamics
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support students' academic and social-emotional development
- Serve as a liaison between the school, munity agencies, and other stakeholders to coordinate services for students and families
- Advocate for students' rights and access to resources, including special education services and munity supports
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, to develop and monitor student plans
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of student assessments, interventions, and progress
- Provide crisis intervention and support as needed to students and families
