Payroll Specialist

CV Resources is urgently seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to process payroll for our construction industry client, ensuring full compliance with payroll laws and regulations across all levels. The ideal candidate will bring substantial payroll experience within the construction industry, particularly in navigating prevailing wage intricacies. This is a full-time onsite opportunity!

Key Responsibilities:

• Process weekly employee payroll with precision, including timesheet reviews and accurate wage calculations.
• Stay updated on prevailing wage regulations at federal, state, and local levels.
• Ensure strict adherence to payroll laws, taxes, deductions, and prevailing wages.
• Prepare and submit certified payroll reports as required for public projects.
• Collaborate closely with project managers and HR to address payroll inquiries and provide expertise on prevailing wage matters.
• Maintain and reconcile payroll accounts, generating detailed reports for management.
• Assist in thorough payroll audits, maintaining detailed documentation.
• Provide comprehensive training and support on prevailing wage requirements and payroll processes.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of payroll processing experience, preferably within a the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of prevailing wage laws and certified payroll reporting.
• Proficiency in payroll software and willingness to adapt to new technologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
