Looking for a great opportunity to learn about County departments as well as help the community with their questions? Consider being an Office Assistant/Customer Service Representative for the STAR Contact Center.
As a Seasonal Customer Service Representative, you will be the first impression to the citizens of Maricopa County. It will be your knowledge that will guide callers in being the first contact resolution for our offices. You will help assist in answering calls, answering questions, and transferring calls when necessary, some data entry. This is a great entry-level opportunity to learn how Maricopa County works.

About Us
The mission of the STAR Contact Center is to provide knowledgeable, courteous, and efficient information to all incoming telephone questions to the Recorder, Elections, Assessor, and Treasurer offices and to assist callers that call the County Switchboard. With access to these multiple offices and their data, the Contact Center Representatives can answer nearly every question in a single call. Bilingual agents are also available.

We Require
- At least six months of experience performing clerical and/or customer service duties
- High School Diploma or GED
- Other combinations of education and experience may be considered in substitution for the minimum qualifications

Job Contributions
- Receives calls that require skilled communication and accurate information based on policies, guidelines, and directives of each agency represented
- Acts as a communication facilitator between the public, call center management, and the agencies
- Communicates and processes information to the Lead or Supervisor when necessary
- Answers incoming phone calls; may have to take and relay messages
- Provides factual information to the public, other agencies and /or other County employees
- Maintains logs and other forms of information data entry
- Completes and reviews routine forms,and memos ensuring accuracy and completeness
Working Conditions
This position is in an office setting and will require sitting for long periods of time.
