The Pelican Brewing Company is seeking a skilled brewer ready for their next career challenge. We operate a state-of-the-art production brewery, and two world-class brewpubs on the beautiful Oregon Coast. This position will serve as the main brewer for our new pub location in Siletz Bay, Oregon. This position will also work in the Tillamook production facility as required.

Position Description

  • Consistently excellent production of world-class Pelican Beer at the Siletz Bay facility.
  • Bring personal drive and a passion for beer and beer quality from grist to glass,
  • Excellent and complete recordkeeping and documentation
  • Engaging ambassador for our guests and guide for the beer experience. You’ll bring your knowledge and enthusiasm to our flagship products, and to interesting things in development.
  • Ensuring that the facility is always clean and in good repair. The space and the work will always represent the brand.
  • Coordinate bulk beer deliveries as necessary.
  • Attention to detail, agility, and self-motivation required.
  • Be a great Beer Advocate. Provide beer education (Pelican Beer School) to staff and help keep beer culture thriving.
  • Support Production facility when required.
  • Do what is required on any given day.
  • Engage and interact with customers: regular hours when customers are present, mini-tours and education for customers, participate in Mug Club events, etc
  • Draft line maintenance, cleaning, technical support
  • Function seamlessly as a part of the Siletz Bay team as well as the brewery team
  • Professional relationship building, clear communication, and adaptability will be required.

Previous Experience Required:

Aspiring candidates should have comprehensive knowledge of brewing practice on a small (15bbl) manual brew system.

All aspects of production will be required for the position: Planning, Cleaning/CIP, Milling, Mashing, Lautering, Boiling, Cooling, Yeast additions, Cellaring,
