POSITION OVERVIEW: This position will have experience leading and coordinating continuous improvement initiatives, as well as experience with continuous improvement tools and methods. He or she will be responsible for identifying opportunities for improvement, leading, and facilitating improvement projects, and training and coaching employees.
JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as a champion for improvement initiatives across the manufacturing organization.
- Work with all levels of staff to identify, document and prioritize opportunities for improvement, develop solutions, and implement change.
- Collect and analyze data to support decision making and process improvements.
- Facilitate process improvement workshops and training sessions.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, monitor process compliance and performance metrics.
- Identify and develop annual improvement plans consistent with and in support of the strategic plan and business operating plan.
- Identify and recommend new tools and methods to support continuous improvement.
- Serve on project teams as needed to provide process improvement expertise
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in continuous improvement.
- Use statistical metrics and data collection techniques to determine project opportunities and improvements.
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as business administration, engineering, or quality assurance. An associate degree is acceptable with further education or training.
Certifications & Licenses: While certification is not required, it is preferred (e.g. Lean Six Sigma Certification Green Belt or higher)
Experience: 5 years of experience in process improvement, quality assurance, or similar role
