Job Description
The Refueling Operator is responsible to flight supervisors and flight manager for the effective operation of refueling equipment and other related duties within the scope of fuels distribution.
Required to perform other reasonable related business duties as assigned by the first level supervisor or other higher level managers. Perform safety and security tasks, as necessary.
Responsibilities
Assist during daily refueling checkpoint operation and take initiative to perform operators preventive maintenance on assigned vehicles daily;
Extend fuel servicing hose and nozzle,
Pressurize and check for defects; monthly check fuel strainers and
Clean as necessary and check tire pressure;
Wear safety equipment as required during operation and inspection of refuelers;
Perform operator preventive maintenance on assigned vehicle, to include washing and cleaning the inside/outside of refueler as required,demonstrate technical knowledge of refueling vehicle and safety components, to include PTO interlock, emergency switches, fire extinguishers, quick couplers, main truck valve, dead man control, etc.
Be knowledgeable of the general characteristics of fuels distribution aircraft servicing operations.
Operate R-11 and C-300 refuelers on and off the flightline, refuel and defuel aircraft, refuel vehicles and tanks, and observe and comply with all safety requirements
Adhere to the two-person policy when refueling and defueling aircraft, vehicles, and organizational tanks
Adhere to the requirements for mandatory use of operational checklist that apply to fuels servicing vehicles and equipment and assure strict compliance; and other required duties.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Work independently and follow written safety guidelines.
Two years’ experience general fuels distribution and aircraft servicing operations.
Two years’ experience in tank management and/or tank maintenance.
Possess a Texas, or Texas-recognized, Class A or B commercial driver’s license, with hazardous material endorsement,
and maintain a current DOT Certified Physical Examination Certificate.
Be neat in appearance and maintain good working relationship with others.
Read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
Must be able to obtain and hold a security clearance.
