RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee the daily operations, facilities, financial success, safety responsibilities and priorities of the branch.
  • Serve as the liaison to other company leadership.
  • Develop strong working relationships within the office and between other Dakota branch locations.
  • Promote a favorable image of Company (and operations companies) and its overall strategic direction, internally and externally.
  • Develop and manage the team. Lead by example.
  • Provide direction to the team regarding company initiatives, priorities and changes (i.e. crew organization, structure and processes, new technology, performance reviews, policies, etc.) and hold team members accountable for achieving them.
  • Oversee the escalation of customer service issues, procedural questions, and HR issues to the HR Department.
  • Review and communicate performance expectations and observations with employees on a regular basis.
  • Work with teams to identify and develop practices for continuous improvement through increased productivity and overall cost effectiveness, including coordinating the sharing of inventory with other branches, in particular Dakota Unlimited.
  • Provide leadership and direction to teams regarding expectations, resources available and project timelines.
  • Understand the local market(s), community involvement and identify growth opportunities. In conjunction with the CFO, Company President, or Company President's Designee, prepare and oversee budgets, forecasts and long-range plans and recommendations on major initiatives, polices and/or procedures; be held accountable to achieving same.
  • Originates personnel actions, including hiring, promotions, salary, and wage increases, etc. within the established guidelines and maintains proper staffing.
  • Attend home shows/conventions/sales functions as needed or requested.
  • In coordination with the fence sales personnel, participate in physical count of all fence inventory a directed by the CFO / ERP Inventory Manager and working to improve the inventory process.
  • In coordination with the CFO, COO, President and Sales Manager, monitor backlog report and have insight into sales forecasts, project leads, pipeline and sales development efforts for the Dakota Unlimited branch.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, business, or related field.
  • Minimum (5) five years of experience supervising and managing diverse teams.
  • Construction or related-industry knowledge and experience preferred.
  • Strong desire to grow the business, be a team player and subscribe to the philosophy that we cannot sit idle, must continuously improve and have a proactive, aggressive approach to win.
  • Must be flexible with a willingness to perform the jobs personally as well as through delegation or interaction with others and must be able to relate to all levels of personnel.
  • Must carry out directives from President of the Dakota Unlimited business unit the President of Company,
  • COO and CFO and support them in all respects and actively work to promote the direction and vision of the President of Company.
  • Proven experience bringing a team together and holding employees accountable.
  • Leadership of a team.
  • Natural self-starter with initiative, high energy level, work ethic and computer skills or willingness to learn and operate Company systems.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
