Accounts Receivable Steward

We are looking for a skilled Accounts Receivable Steward to provide financial, administrative and clerical services. This position will involve completing the full billing cycle for all invoices generated to JBar’s customers. This includes ensuring accuracy and efficiency of billing, processing and monitoring of incoming payments as well as managing the collection process for all aging receivables.

Essential Details:

• Generate customer invoices using our proprietary software ProSoft
• Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
• Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables data
• Prepare invoices and bank deposits
• Verify discrepancies and resolve customer billing issues
• Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients via collection reminder phone calls

Required Skills:

• Proven working experience as accounts receivable clerk/manager or accountant
• 3 years minimum of proven working experience as Accounts Receivable Clerk
• 1 year minimum of QuickBooks Desktop. QB Online also preferred but not necessary
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
• Strong communication skill, both written and verbal, for effective vendor and internal stakeholders interactions
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
• Proficiency in Google Suite, particularly Sheets for data analysis and reporting
• Dependable attendance and punctuality are necessary to perform the essential job duties
