Material Handler

Novi, MI area

We are searching for a Material Handlers who are searching for a great company to start their career here in the US. You will work directly with the customers material handling team in a high preformance percision manufacturing facility. SHIFTS:
1st: Monday-Thursday 5am-3pm $17.50/hour
Split: Monday & Tuesday 5pm-3am $19.50/hour Friday & Saturday 5am-3pm $17.50/hour
3rd: Wednesday-Saturday 5pm-3am $18.00/hour
Plus OT at 1.5 and double time on Sundays

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide updated information to the Material Planning & Logistics team and other areas for monitoring and decision making.
  • Drive/operate fork truck and all material handling equipment as authorized and licensed by department leadership.
  • Load and unload trucks and containers.
  • Wash incoming parts as requested.
  • Prepare parts for production line, including sorting, loading and unloading parts into parts washer and delivering materials to the production line in a timely fashion to keep production running
  • Perform packaging, repacking, labeling and waste removal as directed.
  • Count, verify and audit materials as required.
  • Scan racks into warehouse system using hand-scanner.
  • Must be physically present in work area during specified working hours, unless instructed otherwise by supervisor, and be able to rotate to other work-areas as instructed.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • We will train!
  • 1 year of warehouse, cycle count, physical inventory or related experience required.
  • Ability to pass forklift skill test and acquire license
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • SAP, Covisint, and Trusted Link computer system experience preferred.
  • Ability to handle physical workload and lift up to 35 pounds unassisted and 50 pounds assisted.
  • Ability to rotate work areas and duties as necessary
  • MUST HAVE BASIC ENGLISH SKILLS - READING, WRITING, COMMUNICATING SKILLS
